I just spent a day at the Toronto IDS12 and it was awesome! I'll be posting more about it later, but today I'd like to mention

The closets above look innocent enough, until...
...you open it up and it contains your
entire kitchen! I chatted to the guy for quite some time about it. Each unit is customized for each customer and the price seems comparable to cabinets of a similar quality. In case you're wondering, the white canisters contain dry goods - pasta, beans etc. All you then need is an island (also from them) and appliances! Love it!
Those are AWESOME... kitchen OCD in a box! :)
ReplyDeleteLove how they call them "tool cabinets" too, and the way the dry-goods section swings out to reveal more space than it looks possible to fit in one unit.

ReplyDeleteI have thought of a down side though: I already get upset enough if I break a piece of china so the set is missing one. Just imagine that one little empty hook if you broke a cup/mug/glass in THAT kitchen! *cry*
Ugh, I hadn't thought of that. And with 2 kids...inevitable. Still, it's amazingly cool and pretty comparable to other high end kitchens. I think the glasses etc are specific to the kitchen which is also a bit annoying...
